A Glimpse Inside the Experience
In addition to the ingredients, you will need the following:
- Oyster shucking knife
- Protective gloves
- Deep fat fryer
- Food processor (a small variety is preferable)
Ingredients
- 12 fresh oysters (closed)
- 1 tsp celery salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 100g plain flour
- Vegetable oil for deep fat fryer, if using
Fried Oysters with garlic Aioli
Serves 4 (3 Oysters each) Time appx 1 hour For the Garlic Aioli
- 1–2 garlic cloves, grated (depending on required intensity)
- ✓ 3 egg yolks
- 150ml extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp English mustard powder
- ½ tsp salt
- Juice of ½ lemon
- spring onion sliced finely for dressing
NB: If you don’t fancy making your own aioli, you can simply use shop-bought garlic mayonnaise as an alternative.
In addition to the ingredients, you will need the following:
- Large bowl
- Mixing bowl
- Roasting tin
- Baking parchment
- Whisk
Ingredients
- 1 cauliflower
- 1 tbsp runny honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chilli oil
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 200g houmous
- 1 tsp dukkha (or Middle Eastern spice mix)
- Tahini sauce to dip the cauliflower in once cooked
Oven baked spiced Cauliflower with Hummus and tahini sauce dip
– Serves 4 Time appx 1 hour
For the Tahini Sauce
- 100ml tahini paste
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp honey
- Water, if required, for consistency
To Serve
- Flatbreads
In addition to the ingredients, you will need the following:
- Large sauté pan with lid
- Roasting tin
- Spatula
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 peppers, cut into strips (pre-roasted in the oven at 180°C for approximately 20 minutes)
- 400g tin of chopped tomatoes
- 2 large vine tomatoes cut into 8 pieces
- 250g Pomodorino baby plum tomatoes, halved (although any tomatoes would work)
Shakshuka Eggs
– Serves 4 Time appx 45 min
- 1 red onion
- A couple of large handfuls of baby spinach
- 1–2 tsp chilli purée (depending on taste)
- 1 large garlic clove
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ red chilli finely chopped
- ½ tsp ground turmeric
- ½ tsp ground turmeric
- ½ tsp sweet paprika
- Chilli oil to your taste
- Salt and pepper to season
- Olive oil
